My first job is being a husband and father of four. I'm also a Managing Director in Energy, Resources, and Industrials, in the Artificial Intelligence & Engineering Solutions Group at Deloitte.
During the day, I focus on operating model transformation, cost restructuring, energy transition, financial impact analysis, and innovative value chain optimization. I've worked in oil, natural gas, chemicals, carbon capture, renewable and bio-based products, and hydrogen.
I also spent five years as a plant operating engineer, maintenance manager, and senior supervisor for a combined plant: nuclear and diesel power generation, AC and DC electrical distribution, atmospheric carbon capture, and hydrogen/oxygen electrolysis.
I have 22 years of experience in the energy industry and management consulting, serving clients worldwide. I'm a certified Professional Engineer (Nuclear) and a veteran of the U.S. Naval Submarine Force. I studied at the University of Pennsylvania (BA), the Wharton School (MBA in finance), and Johns Hopkins SAIS (MA in international relations).

Family
My wife and I are raising four kids, and nothing I do matters more than the people at our dinner table. They keep me grounded, busy, and laughing, and most of my best days are spent with them.
Golf
Golf course design is the part of the game I focus on most. A good course reads the land instead of fighting it, and asks something new of you on every hole.
Colorado gives me plenty to study: mountain views, elevation, and ground that rolls the way great golf ground should.
